The documents referred to here pertain to the settlement in 1983 of the law suit brought in 1974 by the Wampanoag Tribal Council of Gay Head, Inc. against the Town of Gay Head, the satisfaction of the conditions made part of, and implementation of the acts contemplated in, the settlement, and the subsequent transfers in 1988 and 1992 of certain real property in Gay Head to the United States of America in trust for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah).
