The purposes of Aquinnah/Gay Head Community Association, Inc. are to engage in the following activities:
1. To gather and maintain current and historical information on all aspects of Town functions and operations within the Town of Aquinnah, Massachusetts and to disseminate and generally provide information and educate the public regarding the same, to facilitate the implementation of such functions and operations, and to promote discussion and activity that will serve to improve the quality of life for all persons who own property, reside in or visit the said Town;
2. To ensure the effective enforcement of all municipal laws and regulations, the proper collection and disbursement of public funds, and the prompt discharge of the Town’s administrative responsibilities;
3. To assist the Town’s public works, including but not limited to its volunteer fire department, town library, playgrounds, and beaches;
4. To encourage historical and environmental preservation in the Town of Aquinnah;
5. To carry on any other charitable or educational activity (within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and the regulations thereunder, as amended from time to time) that is consistent with other provisions of the Articles of Incorporation of Aquinnah/Gay Head Community Association, Inc. and that may be lawfully carried on by a corporation organized under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
